Gas Leak Repair in Wigan

We use electronic gas detectors and soapy water testing to check all joints, connections and pipework. After repairs, we conduct full system pressure testing and provide a safety certificate.

You'll receive a detailed report of work carried out, including photographs of the repair, new gas safety certificate, and any recommendations for additional safety measures or maintenance.

Locate your gas meter (usually outside or in a meter cupboard) and turn the handle so it's at 90 degrees to the pipe. Don't use the emergency control valve unless instructed by gas emergency services.

Ventilate the property immediately by opening windows and doors. Don't operate light switches or electrical equipment, and extinguish naked flames including pilot lights on gas fires.

If you smell gas, call the national gas emergency line on 0800 111 999 immediately. They will attend free of charge to make the supply safe, particularly important in Wigan's densely packed housing areas.

If the gas smell is very strong or getting worse, leave the property and call emergency services from outside. Don't re-enter until the gas emergency engineer confirms it's safe to do so.
